The quote "Racing is life" is from the epic movie "Le Mans", so that has to stay. But this really needs more drama. Font, color, something!

More stroke, more drop shadow, emboss, and make it italics, IMO. I'm a fan of the font BlairMdITC.

Getting a bit closer here. I tried putting the text a bit more behind the car and mask it off but I thought it became unreadable. And I did not have a chance to take some of the feedback above into consideration last night. Will try more edits this evening.

Responding to just the layout and visual aspect, and not the photograph
itself, it looks cramped and constrained to me. You have both ends of
the car cut off and the blue type impinges on the car. It is especially
awkward where it partially covers the sun roof.

I don't see any aesthetic gain in the truncated car and the type overlap.

Understood about that particular shot but it was chosen for me. I'll try the concept on another image and see how the concept itself floats.
