Maybe March next year then (when I'm expecting the upgrade for the
20D to be announced)! It all depends on your budget and intended
use: some people are already replacing their 20Ds with 5Ds. And I've
even had people asking about getting a 5D converted (they're after
very wide-angle imagery).
Whenever, just let me know.

Currently I'm working through my stock of Hoya glass supplied through
a firm in the UK, but I'm hoping to have pricing this week from a
different supplier (of Schott glass).
What sort of data were you after?

I'm lost! I recall the original thread - and chatting about this - but the guy seems to be telling you nothing ...
I can only recommend Maxmax.com - sure you'll pay $100 more probably due to shipping to Oz - but you'll get your funny money's worth!

thanks andy -the us conversion with postage works out to be about $650AUD for maxmax vs $325 AUD including postage-i can get a 10d for $650.
i am in the process of checking out some of his customers who have had conversions done and now lining up to convert 5d's-he seems to be using the right glass, which is a good start.
by the way i like the way you have taken to australian slang-theres a lot of it and you certainly enjoy using it-if needs be,older australians anyway, can communicate in a way that sounds like gibberish to the uninitiated .follow.
its butchers hook=look
i will scan up a copy of a barry humphries glossary from the adventure of barry mckenzie and post a link for you and those who have trouble understanding humungus.
of course it will be an adults only classification as our slang is not all just quaint rhyming slang-it is rather ribald and scatalogical, there are some rascist overtones from our less enlightened past-i will put it up later today

I know nothing about this fellow but it's worth an email to him to see what's up.
