Text Block problems in new style

Hi,

I seem to have problems formatting text blocks in the new style site...

Carriage returns don't seem to work properly - I have to add a couple to get a paragraph space but when I then revisit to edit again it has converted those to 3 or 4 carriage returns and some spaces.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks
Gary

I'm just using an HTML block as a workaround with code like this:

    Blah, blah...

Yup. Same here. It has been a major pain in the rear. I didn't feel like messing with HTML, so I worked around my different paragraphs by adding text blocks for each one. I could have also done it with an HTML box, but I just wanted to get it done as quickly as possible, so did text block, text block, text block, etc. etc. on my About Me page.

But, another weird thing I am seeing, even with my method, is if I put a link in to another page, using their "link tool" in the text block, I lose a space between the word in front of my "linked" words, so the two words run together. Even if I throw some extra spaces in there to try to "force" the words apart, it still doesn't work. I have tried changing to several different font faces, thinking that was part of the problem, but it doesn't matter which font I use, it still happens. :(

I haven't figured out what is going on here or how to fix it, so I just removed my links, which kinda sucks.

So what did the text editor guy have to say for himself. It is 8/5, four days later and the text boxes are still a mess. Please report richW.

    Any news on this?
My opinion does not necessarily make it true. What you do with my opinion is entirely up to you.

Just thought that I'd chip in with the notion that the OP's issue seems to be related to the one I reported in http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=239240 and which is now in the Active Bug List at http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=240306
