Gallery descriptions only showing when logged in

The "description" text for a gallery is only showing when I am logged in, when I view the galleries as a visitor, the description text is missing.

I am unable to find out if this is due to something I did or if its a bug.
The descriptions were showing in the old Smugmug before I migrated to the new.

I asked the same question... subscribing to see who gets answered 1st! My problem is I did not catch this prior to unveiling...

My work around was to remove the code from the description and to add an html box

Wouldn't you need to do that for each gallery? Yuck

Yes but aren't you adding text to each gallery?

That's a LOT easier than going in and out of the customizer to add a text box!

Anyway, I can live without the descriptions I think.

On this help page, it refers to it as "Meta Description" (in other words, not for people to see) - http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1227357-gallery-settings

I think you can add the box to all galleries at once, then edit as needed...
But I do need the descriptions (I cannot "fix" the 100's of galleries on my personal site)... I'm sure they will fix whatever the issue is...
I'm only using the work around for some very simple site I maintain.

I have hundreds (literally) of galleries with different and often lengthy descriptions in them. Do I have to recreate these from scratch or will they migrate automatically if I have a text box in each gallery? I can't go live until this issue is clarified.

My descriptions are showing on some, and not on others. Haven't figured out what the difference is.

Ok, I see that the descriptions for galleries show, but not those for folders, however, the folder descriptions are a "Meta Description", so I guess it's not meant to show anyway.

I'll just add a text box for a description where I need them for Folders.
