Organizer is incomplete

The new organizer misses a way to copy photos to other galleries, one can only move.
So one needs to enter a gallery first, make a copy and then go back to the organzier for a move.
Brillantly inefficient and a major PITA.

cheers

Sounds like a feature request. :) I'll pass it over to the product team for you.

Feature request? Really? How does anyone use the Organizer for more than 2 minutes and realize that without a collect or copy option on the main screen it's basically worthless. For the last few years Smugmug has added feature that folks have asked for to make management easier. Now the redesign the sight to make it prettier and basically just toss out a lot of proven useful features for seemingly no reason. Was there any UAT testing at all on this before launch? Just curious as someone in the software/web world...

It's just a really maddening joke that all this stuff that was already a "Feature Request", which people then signed onto SmugMug for & have been paying for, suddenly gets ditched with what's supposed to be a great upgrade to a new site. And now these very things are supposed to go back to the Feature Request forum?? It's totally beyond my comprehension. It just feels like it was someone's idea of a cruel joke. headscratch.gifheadscratch.gifheadscratch.gif

Funny, I've been playing with the organizer for two days now and haven't even noticed that there wasn't a copy command.

You actually can copy photos in the organizer. Click on the lightbox preview of the photo, then click on the photo tools icon in the bottom right hand corner. Click "Organize" then "Copy". This will then put the copy in the same gallery in the organizer for you to move to a new gallery.

    Hope this helps!

Hi. You simply need to select the photo in the organizer and then drag to the gallery you wish to put it in.

Drag and drop does not work
I wish it would be that simple but drag and drop from a gallery to another does not work for me. Anyone else has the same issue ? bowdown.gif
