Galleries vs folders

I switched last evening and I think i'm confused on when to use folders vs galleries. On the old site, I have all my galleries listed on my home page (all of then unlisted) except a couple. However, on the new site, I noticed that I don't have my galleries listed and I see to be limited to only 20. Is there logic on when one should you use folders vs galleries?

    I have another gallery vs folder question - how I can set all my galleries to have the SmugMug theme and sort all photos by date taken? I dont want to go through all my galleries...

    When you are in the customize screen you can choose the SmugMug theme under the settings tab.

    I see that Lou but I noticed its not applying to all my galleries. Is there a way to set the sort in one area and have it apply to all galleries? Hmmm...

    I didn't have any issues with it changing mine; sorry.

    Thank you for the help. I do have a case opened with SmugMug so hopefully then can help.

    Changing the site-wide setting will change all galleries that are set to the "default" gallery style, but if you have specifically set a certain viewing style for a gallery it will not be overridden by this setting. I'm in the same situation - I don't want to manually crawl through ALL my galleries to reset them but I don't know how else to do it at this point. If you figure it out let me know. thumb.gif
