No watermarks on video STILL!

Just migrated to the new Smugmug and quite pleased with most of it. Links in titles lose spaces so the HTML is wrong there I think.

But my main issue is security. Despite years of requests there is still no way to watermark video clips making them easy to screen grab. Such a shame to spend all that effort on making the site look good while letting down professionals who are paying the most from hosting video on their site.

I believed the new coding would allow it but the gallery settings have not moved on at all.

Why don't you watermark during your video editing, locally? I can't imagine SM ever providing for watermarks on video.

    Hi Andy.

I have now watermarked my videos prior to uploading, but obviously when I sell them the customer doesn't want a watermarked version.

Now I have to upload a watermarked version, the client buys it and downloads the low resolution version. I then get a note that the clip has been bought and then have to send the clean version to the client.

Not a very efficient system, I'm sure you will agree. I can't see any good reason why watermarking can't be applied to the proxy versions that Smugmug show on the site.

I am looking for this feature as well, for the same reason stated below. I want people to see the videos I offer, and then if they want to pay me to download it, then they get it without the watermark.
