No full page slideshow anymore? Why?

I am trying to migrate in very limited time, and not finding this system at all intuitive.

But am stuck: Where is the homepage slideshow option? Can't find one anywhere.
Is this an attempt to preserve the business of SM customizers such as those who spoke at the launch? (that was pretty strange- Why would SM choose to do that?)

I have four days left of a Zen trial, and really am willing to let SM wow me into staying, but it's not looking promising if I have to write code just to get a full page homescreen slideshow. Am totally open to suggestions or better yet, step by step tutorials using the new layouts.

    Hi Smurfy,

I found I was able to add a slideshow to my home page by, while on the home page, clicking on Customize Site, then under Content Blocks, click the plus sign on Photos. You will see Slide Show, which you can drag and drop to your preferred location on the page, and in tools choose the gallery that drives your show. However, it doesn't seem to be full page, unfortunately. If anyone knows how to change to size of the Slideshow, I'd love to know.

    Best wishes,

    Pear

Think I found it. Under slideshow tools in customize site, turn content aware size off.

Thank you, peargrin! I do appreciate your help.
Now I'm stuck again. It's saying, in red, to name my theme, and I did. and hit 'done.' But now it won't let me move on, and can't seem to save anything.
