Missing line-breaks in Profile description text

Thread title says it all, but for the sake of clarity...

In Legacy I have separated blocks of text (similar to paragraphs), in New it shows as one chunk of text. It's no use to anybody who's used to being able to set out text in a meaningful way (e.g like on this forum, or in a book*).

Why did we have to lose something so simple and useful as the humble line-breaks? Do they take up a lot of space on the servers?

* No time to explain what a book is. You'll have to "Google" it :D

Cheers for that. I had been trying them and was tearing my beard out.

I've sussed what's going on and I've got it looking OK, but I'm at a loss as to how because it seems ass-backwards... p tags are giving me line-breaks but there's no empty line hence no separate paragraphs, I have to use 2 br tags make the empty line between.

I might just ditch the p tags and go with 2 brs if that works. Not good coding, but hey, it's working better than some other stuff that I'm paying for!
