Hi Y'all,

As Dixie has already told you he's down here on a visit and we got to do some shooting yesterday.

Dixie shows some real promise for a rookie roflol.gif

the eagle flew in

and did some posing

the armadillo even came out
47299246-L.jpg

the snowy egrets put on their usual show
47299247-L.jpg

47299249-L.jpg

they even got along with the gators for the day
47299251-L.jpg

the cormorants seemed happy with Dixie's visit
47299252-L.jpg

we got some nice light at sunset

finally a shot I blew. I came so close bncry.gif but I over exposed the tern coming out of the water with a fish

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Some nice shots, Harry. Love that eagle . Damn you. umph.gif:D My day will come. :uhoh Hope the rain holds off today so you can show us some more raptor shots. Remember the A-1 steak sauce and the running shoes. If you can't beat the competition....feed 'em to the 'gaitors. eek7.gifrolleyes1.gif :uhoh :D Just kiddin'. See any "snow birds" rolleyes1.gif

    Hey mike,

I had lots of fun shooting with Dixie. The weather was mediocre today (no rain but no sun either) and we did fair to middling.

Thanks for the kind words and come February you shouldl get your eagle shots. If you shot a Nikon I would say definitely but ....... rolleyes1.gif

Thanks Ben. Dixie and I had a fine time and shot up a storm. Camera batteries and memory cards were dropping like flies.

As for your tern remark. Dippie.gif

I have to agree with Harry - especially about the batteries - plus I filled two 4GB microdrives over the two days.
