Social Media Buttons...

Hello, I am working on the "new" site..

I notice that the social media buttons take my viewer AWAY from Smugmug and directly to the link of social media. Can this not open in a separate window. I don't want to direct traffic away from my main site, but would like a separate window to pop open.

Can this be done using some kind of code or..? Otherwise I will disable the option for social media.

One alternative is to use the social media 'like' buttons, which will let users interact without leaving your site. Its a separate option to add to pages, under 'social'. We have to put up with what Smugmug give us though (and what they don't give us - no +1 button!).

I have a similar but separate problem. If I click my social media buttons nothing happens. However if I right click and open in new tab it works fine.

I also don't want to move away from the viewed page

This may be obvious but I'm not seeing it. How do I put a mailto button the navigation menu. Isn't email social?

I did add those buttons under "social".. and when I click them in preview mode.. it takes me away from smugmug and to the social site.

I would like to add something into the code for those social addresses that will tell the computer to open a new window in order to go to that link. I am sure it is doable.. just not knowledgable enough to know how.

I mean the share buttons option... Will let people post on FB and twitter without leaving your site. No +1 though.

I agree, I'd rather not have visitors leaving my site - especially to distracting social media. There needs to be a +1 and it would be cool to just have the ability to make the share menu that's under photos be a content box so it could also be moved around and used such as in the footer.
