Galleries gone from folders

I tried replying in another thread of someone who had the same problem but I can't understand the fix. My galleries aren't showing up in my folders, just empty space. I can see them if I'm organizing, but other than that, nothing. I didn't think I changed anything in regards to the folders, even reverted back just in case but I can't seem to get it. Can anyone help? Loving the new site so far! :clap

Another question, where do I go to change the name that appears on my page tab? It used to say "April Martell Photography" but it's reverted back to my old name. I think it's my nickname that needs to be changed, I have the domain in godaddy.com but I think I hadn't changed it here, and can't find where I do that. Thanks!

Make sure you did not delete the "Gallieries" box from your pages.

I'm sorry, it's probably really obvious but where would I make sure it hasn't been deleted?

I had this same confusion. In the ALL FOLDERS section be sure you have a GALLERIES block. Also be sure it's set to "Current Location." I had a heck of a time when I had set my FOLDERS Location to FOLDERS I CHOOSE. Every single folder had a copy of all my chosen folders...

Depends on how your site is set up, but on my site I have main gallery page which SM calls the "browse" page. When I first designed my new site, I had both a "folders" box and a "gallery" box. Since I wasn't putting galleries on that page, I deleted the gallery box. When I did this, if I clicked on a folder, none of the galleries were visible. It was a blank page. I added the "galleries" box to the "browse" page and the galleries returned.

Thank you! Nope, my galleries box isn't there so that must be the problem. How do you add it to the content? Please excuse my simple-mindedness, I always picture someone shaking their head as they're responding to my questions, lol.

Go to "customize" then "all folders" and drag a gallery box into the page. The gallery box is found in "navigation" in the "add content blocks" section.

Glad it worked. I can't take credit for it though. Someone posted the fix in another thread. I tried looking for it before I posted the fix, but it was taking me too long.

Now my photo collage is gone from my homepage. *expletive*. I have it set to "multiple photos" under the Content. I can see it when I'm logged in. What did I do wrong now? Le sigh.

Help? This is kind of a huge issue, someone going to my site sees my name and the menu, my email address, and my social icons, and that's it. What did I do wrong?

From what I have learned in toying around, and from an official email from SmugMug help, it is important to understand the new "chunks" into which SmugMug has decided to break down your overall design. Was the "block" for collage properly dragged-and-dropped into the main area on the homepage?

Also, I assume you've designated photos to go in the collage; are you sure that 100% of those images are in publicly visible galleries?

Just a thought, I'm as much of a noob at this new interface....

Thanks for the reply Matt! I wondered about whether I was supposed to drag a "multiple photos" block into that part, though I thought I already did. I may have to copy some photos and create a gallery for this purpose because now that you mention it, not all those photos are in publicly visable galleries. Trying this again, thanks!

Whoop! I created a gallery specifically for the homepage. At first I had it password protected, and when I put the photos into the "multiple gallery" block that I had re-done, they still weren't showing after logging out. So I removed the password and voila! It worked! I would prefer not to have that gallery public, but for now, it'll do. Thanks again, Matt!

New template galleries & contact page don't work
Hello I'm using the SHADOW template, and there is a glitch possibly an error in your code, the galleries are not showing up when i choose BROWSE and the CONTACT PAGE is not working either, and i know it's not happening on my end becasue Folders, Galleries, and Breadcrumbs are there so it has to be an Error in your code, your shadow template is not showing the galleries??? I though the new site was gonna work, why am i having these issues? Please help?

Lot of issues with Browse just now .. suspect it's a site wide problem and not a Template issue.
