Smugmug Automated Photo Syncing

First of all. I truly love the new look and feel. I migrated my site and it looks great. I have been a Smugmug customer since November 2005. For almost 8 years, I even paid for 5 years of a Pro account for a custom address, though recently changed to a power account . I still have my Smugmug camera strap that I love and use. Smugmug has been great, though i have not used it as much as i should. With that said, I am seriously debating my continued use of Smugmug. It does not fit my workflow as a "Papa" Razzi, as we call dads up hear in the stay at home mom dominated SLR camera town , of Frisco.

My Workflow as of 2013 -

Step 1 - Take Pictures while on vacation / at event
Step 2 - Step transfer pictures to device ( IMAC, IPAD) ETC
Step 3 - Sync Pictures to dropbox so that pictures are available on all devices and loaded to lightroom library.
Step 4 - Wife uploads to share.

The majority of my workflow is not even done on a computer anymore. I have not opened my Macbook , since I got my Ipad Mini at christmas. Additionally I am testing ios 7, the airdrop functionality makes it even more amazing.

As you can see for the last while, Smugmug has been left out of the loop.
I am thinking about paying for Everpix for a year to try it out. It syncs all photos across all devices and sources.

So what I am asking for is sure to piss off the "Professionals", but I would love for Smugmug to also cater to me a little. I want a better desktop app. Logmein Cubby has folder syncing, everpix can watch libraries for changes. I DO not want a PUBLISH Service within Lightroom. I do use Lightroom on my IMAC as my system of record for all my photos. I want all my photos that i take to automatically sync to Smugmug.

So my question to all.....is this something on the roadmap? Should I stay? Realistically, It is not about the $60, it is about spending money on something that i feel is no longer what i want / need.

What I would love is for Smugmug to buy the new service LOOM or Everpix.

Is there anyway to batch upload an entire folder on a desktop ?

Hi Randy,

You can drag and drop all of the folders photos into the HTML5 uploader. That is by far the easiest way behind the Lightroom PlugIn.
