Moving photos within a gallery - now by dragging only?

Is the only way to do it now by dragging? Before I could highlight the new ones and move them around the gallery by either dragging or by using my arrow keys which was so much quicker and easier.

If I have several hundred photos in one gallery and need to move one of them up 250 places then the new way will be incredibly frustrating. I thought the simple processes like this were not going to change??

Or am I missing something in the settings?

Please advise.

I'm sorry, drag and drop is the only way to manually arrange now, in the organizer. There are a lot of new features we'd like to add to the Organizer and the rest of the site :)

The bizarre thing, which no one "up above" seems able to grasp, while it's so obvious to so many trying to use the new site, is that these "new features" you want to "add" are anything but new!! These are simple tools that have been around for ages, since about 5 upgrades ago... or more. For arranging, we had several other useful tools, and in fact "drag & drop", for my needs, was the least useful one & therefore I rarely used it. I just wish I could figure out why / how / who ever thought going live without all these (not features but) tools would be a good thing... for anyone. For SmugMug, for its users, for their customers, for its look. All I can ask is why, why, why?

Are you saying that other ways to arrange photos in a gallery might be added in the future? It's gone from accurate to very clumsy now especially if you have lots of photos in a gallery.
