I started working on my "new" SmugMug site today and realised that it was, for the time being, pointless. I would read a thread addressing a specific issue, try it out and when I would come back to Dgrin for more information, that thread would be 3-5 pages back from where it started. Words seem to fail to express how disappointed I (and apparently, by virtue of I know not how many pages of bugs, missing features, and diminished functionality, heaps of others) am with this half baked release. In truth it is not even ready for beta testing. I don't know what is going on up there but you should really consider "un-pushing" the button and finishing the product. Un-doing heaps of previously available customizations and hot-keying the phrase "That sounds like a great feature request, I'll send it up" just isn't cutting it. This long awaited release was supposed to be an improvement, and clearly it has that potential, but it is NOT, I repeat, NOT ready.
John Wooden, of basketball fame said several insightful things during his tenure as a coach and a couple of them now come to mind:
1) "If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?"
2) "Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability."
3) "It's the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen."
You guys really need to start doing better.

All the customizations we have become used to need to be available in the new smugmug.
We should not have to take a step backward.
Cheers,
As long as they have people willing to pay good money for little more than promises, they have all the time in the world.
I intend to remain in legacy mode until the very last minute precisely because the "new" SM was a large step backwards in functionality.
Comments and constructive criticism always welcome.
