New Site vs Legacy

I have at least one category page that transferred over and it did not keep the same sort order of sub-cats.

It I try to sort the new site page will this affect to Legacy site sort?

Just what can we do on the new site that doesn't affect the legacy site?
gallery description edits?
folder sorts?

What changes on the new site will affect the legacy site?

If I add galleries on the old site will these be automatically be picked up on the new site?

Is there a gallery bulk caption/keyword edit on the new site?

Changing gallery properties, notably the style, will affect legacy. I think bulk keyword editing, and most gallery level changes is done in organiser
