Link to Contact Form

I have the Contact Form linked in my menu bar, and it works. On my legacy site I had a link on the bottom of my page for people to access the same form. I placed text with this code:

<a href="/" onclick="return false;" class="customContactButton">Contact Me</a>

in my footer bar.

It will not work. Any tips here?

That was from one of JFriend's javascript customizations, right? Javascript is not supported in the new world.
