Hi all,

the fall is over, but I had quite a few photos to postprocess from that wonderful time of year. Here they are, from a hike I did in the Slovenian Alps at the end of October:

On the way to the saddle, looking back to the valley:

The view from the saddle towards some of the peaks:

On the climbing trail to the summit, looking back to the saddle:

Enjoying the warm sun at the top at 2,252 meters above sea level (in only a T-shirt at the end of October!):

Fog in the valley:

On my way back, a mountain runner passed me by:

I hope these shots can show you at least a little bit how beautiful that hike was. I had a great time!

There are more photos from this hike in my gallery. All photos taken with Canon A80. Comments welcome and appreciated! :D

    Thanks, everybody!

@vermenton: The building in the third shot is actually a pretty big mountain hut. It's closed in the winter, but very popular and usually packed in the summer. Such huts are very useful for mountaineers as it's possible to sleep there and you don't even need a sleeping bag since sheets and blankets are provided. Makes your backpack a lot lighter! :D

Hi Ana! These are some of your best shots yet. I'll have to agree with some of the other folks - #'s 3 and 5 are excellent thumb.gif

Nice. One and three show great scale. Number five is awesome, it reminds me of Ansel Adams picture Clearing Storm, Sonoma Hills. Awesome.

    The fog is spectacular
Not that your other pictures aren't very very nice too! I enjoyed seeing them very much, but we have fog here quite often, but it's difficult to get a shot like you did! Gorgeous!

    I think there's still time
Your fog photo should be eligible for the digital grin photo of the year contest!

Check this thread to read all about it. I believe the last date is Dec. 22.

Wow, I missed these replies! Thanks, guys!

And Dee, thank you for suggesting I send in one of the photos. I read about the contest a while ago but then forgot all about it.
