LR plugin not working?

I created an album last night with a single photo, and am trying to publish it... The LR plugin is hanging at Updating <album name> with 0 progress. I've killed it, restarted LR, republished, same thing.

did the publish interface change with the new look?

oh, its Lighroom 4.4 on a Windows 8 64bit system, I've published 100s and 100s of albums without a problem before. The LR plugin is 1.0.6.8 and thinks its up to date.

Did you download the latest version of the plugin? It was released a few days ago if I'm not mistaken.

I've been using it 5 min ago and had no issues at all.

hmm, didn't realize there was a new one, the autoupdater didn't catch it. ok, installed that, reloaded, and it rebuilt the catalog, and now says its version 2.0.1.3 but when I click publish, two task status bar zip finished almost instantly without doing anything I can see.

I exited LR, restarted LR, and ran publish again, this time a single task bar took a second, and then pops up "Warning" "Can't update this collection. An internal error has occurred: can't parse JSON at char 1 of: "

ok, deleting the gallery I created last night and recreating it seems to have sorted this out.

Hmm, don't know what to say. Did you deactivate/uninstall the previous version? Maybe try a fresh install again?

The creator of the plugin is pretty responsive so you can email him the issue or wait till he checks the forum and he'll get back to you quickly.

I think the issue was, I had tried to create a smug gallery with the old plugin last night, and was trying to publish it. when I delieted this new-unpublished gallery and recreated it, all was good again.
