New SM: Can't format profile data on page

Changed my site to the new SM. It's very good - you guys have done a good job.
I have pointed my profile data to a page called 'about' from my menu. It shows the data and the image, but the text is in one block, despite it being in paragraphs in my profile.
How can I format it, please?

tags in the text. It works fine, but I would have thought (maybe I'm wrong) that part of the raison d'etre for the new SM was to remove the need for users to have to use HTML, and thus also avoid support issues?
