Can we continue to use the Legacy Smugmug indefinitely?

I upgraded to a Power User account a few years back and with the help of customizing gurus in the Customizing forum, set up a custom home page, custom navigate bar with links to Galleries, Recent (a separate gallery), Contact, Blog (external to SM) and About.

I see nothing in the new templates that come close to what I had before this 'wonderful upgrade'. Heck I've not even been able to come up with a working site design. Been round and round looking for step by step documentation that tells us what we need to do to do the simplest of tasks.

If we are going to be forced to accept this new 'wonderful upgrade' I had better start rethinking what I want to do with my photos.

Hoping someone can point me to something that helps rather than confuses.

We will be forced to upgrade to the new SmugMug eventually. This was confirmed by some Smugmug Heroes on a few other threads. They haven't however announced a timeline for this, so it could be months, it could be years? Agree with the sentiment though. I'm not paying $60+ a year just for a pretty design with less functionality than my original Smugmug site. I already pay for webhosting and have several Wordpress sites. I'll either go with something custom or just move to a competitor if I can't get back most of the important features and functionality that was stripped out in the name of progress and design.

$60? Hell, I'm at the selling pro level. I can feel my $300 a year going down the toilet. I'm trying to rebuild with the new design since it will be crammed down our throats likely sooner than later but thus far I'm hating it, can't get it to display more than 48 galleries, etc. Honestly, this change sucks.

The competitors look better every day.
