I really like this one; it reminds me of a painting.

Denise, you really made my day with these comments. I've been in a post processing "slump" and this came just in time!

Eric -
I have to admit I needed to look up this fox - I was trying to figure out how you made his ears so big! I was glad to see that the big ears are natural.

Peter, I always enjoy your aircraft pictures! This is a really nice shot of the DC-3 with D-Day invasion stripes. Great job!

Thanks Denise!
This was taken a few years back on the Puget Sound from a friends deck with bottom-of-the-line Canon Rebel (very first camera). I was using a mediocre telephoto lens with a 2X extender that really didn't help except make the blurry image closer. So I decided to use a little PP and turn it into a little bit of art instead of a good photo! Sometimes failure takes a good turn!
Thanks Denise!

So true! And it just goes to prove that it's the photographer's eye that is important.
@ pegelli - love the artichoke! made me want to heat up the water and melt the butter! Cheers, Sara
Thanks Sara, this one even came up "spontaneously" in our garden. It produced two flower heads, one small and one large (the one on the photo). So we had one meal out of them. After that it vanished just as mysteriously as it came.
Denise - since my bikes are such important partners in my journeys I have lots of pictures of them in many circumstances. As I took the picture she was still loaded because I had to push her the length of the platform to reach my wagon. They do need to be unloaded when you get on the train. Here's what it looks like in the TGV:
Unfortunately for me the TGV from Munich-Paris no longer accommodates bicycles so getting to France with the bike without changing trains a million times is a challenge. :cry I tell you, it was fantastic to ride through Paris on a fully-loaded bike! What a way to see the town.
Peter, on www.cbsnews.com they have a "What am I seeing" photography post once a week. Usually they will post fifteen or twenty pictures each week. This is a perfect example of the kinds of pictures one will see posted there. You might want to investigate! Just a great image here!
I'm very jealous,
Wayne

2. After their image, they should have posted either a shape or color.
3. Whatever word was posted (either shape or color) you are to find or take an image of your own that has either the shape or color that was posted by the previous poster.
So to answer travelways question: pick whatever color you like for the rough and uneven texture of your choice

I think travelways question stems from the fact that "rough and uneven texture" is neither a shape or color and as such, is probably not in concert with the original theme of the challenge... jmo.

I'm not a native English speaker, but I see "rough and uneven texture" as a shape. But if it makes it less confusing I can call it "file shaped" but then it's probably only rough and not uneven

Isn't he cute? Those ears are impossibly big, and I assume he can hear his prey or a predator very well!

I was looking for repeating circles to represent a bubble shape but then I remembered this long-ago shot.

I love this! Love the focus on the chicken looking at you while the others are off following their own paths.

Thank you, Denise. She was the only female on the lek that morning, and the circling males were clamoring for her attention - without success ;-)
Eric
good gear; not enough time
This is wonderful! The jumper is tiny yet your eye is drawn to him (or her!).

I love that your bike is featured in this photo! How awesome to have a train system that allows roll-on loaded bikes!
