I have selected the "Multiple Photo option on my home page. For the life of me I can't seem to figure out how to arrange the photos and move them around! Am I missing something?

I haven't tried the "Photos" block, but in the "Galleries, Folders & Pages" block, the items are ordered in the order you choose them. Very clunky. There are other threads where folks are asking for the ability to sort items in those blocks like you can in Galleries.

I wrote smugmug about that exact problem and this is what they said-

Thank you for contacting SmugMug. I am happy to help you with this.

I think an easier way to have more control over the picture qty and order in which the photos are displayed in is to change where your Multiple Photo Content Block is pulling from.

If you chose to pull your Multiple Photos from a Single Gallery instead, then you could create a gallery, organize how you would like and then set the Multiple Photo content Block to pull from it.

In order to organize your photos within a gallery you will need to go to your Site Organizer>click on the gallery you would like to organize>There is a drop down menu in the upper right hand corner and you can set that to Short Manually>from there you can drag and drop your photos in the order you would like them.

Once your gallery is set you can go to your Site Customizer to update your Multiple Photos content block. Hover over the photos, so the box highlights in blue>click on the wrench>Select From drop down and choose Gallery> Done.

If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know.
    Thanks,

Yep, if you use a gallery instead of your whole site you can fully control the order within that gallery. I use my favorites gallery for this purpose.

But what about for those of us who desire to have a clicked upon image take you directly to that gallery? Why can't we just have a manual sort for those Homepage images?

That's the problem I have. I want photos from many different galleries to be displayed on my homepage. I would like them to be clicked which take you to their respective gallery. I currently have a series of photos on my homepage that I've carefully selected in the order I'd like, but if I want to add a NEW photo at the top of my homepage, I have to start from scratch!

What would be slick is if you could just drag and drop each photo where you'd like them displayed in the customization section.

Hi Justin thanks for your feedback. I think the best way for you to handle this is to just create a new gallery which houses all the photos you would like to display on your homepage you can reorganize a gallery easily in the i

There's a request in the SmugMug Feature Request forum for Improved 'Items I Choose' interface. You're not alone in needing this ability.

    Michael -
This may work for a homepage starting point but it does not work for my Kaleidoscope or Gallery pages. Both of these show images from multiple galleries with a click to the gallery. I should not need to copy the photos I want to highlight on these pages to a gallery so I can order them. That creates a different kind of maintenance nightmare.

It should be possible to see the photos (or galleries) I have selected, to reorder them, to delete selected entries.
