Is there a single thread for all the security/privacy issues ?

Noticing a few weird things on my "new" smugmug accounts and want to see what other folks have already reported.

So far I've noticed :
- A few folders ended up with a "global" password (while in my "old" smugmug only galleries had passwords, not the categories)
- A few password protected galleries show a thumbnail to users without password (BAD), while other password protected galleries (in the same folder) do not show a thumbnail (GOOD).

thanks

If you had featured a thumb in a passworded gallery it would show on the folder page. Otherwise you'd
get the "locked" thumb. Might try to unfeature that thumb in the gallery.

Quick Question about your first question re: folders ending up with "Global" password. Can you see the passwords to verify that they have been changed? I can no longer view my gallery passwords in the gallery settings.

re: folders ending up with "Global" password

Right. So I have Categories in the old smugmug (for example 2007 was one top category) and this was filled with many galleries.
Each gallery had their own password. The top category did not have any password.

Now in the new smugmug. The top categories have been turned into "folders" and the galleries are still galleries.

And I see that SOME OF MY FOLDERS (not all) got assigned a password. So a visitor to my site who does not know the password, will not even be able to enter these now-protected folders.
Previously they were able to see the list of galleries, but could not enter them (without password)

    I hope this make sense.
