Somehow, my coworker put us in preview mode for the new smug, so I suppose now that we are going to have to migrate :scratch. She thought she was only looking at it....anyway, onto the problem. We have a site created for our group at work, and the homepage now is simply grid layout of all of the gallery categories we have created.

Before I go clicking on new themes, I wanted to know do any of these themes show the gallery categories on the main page, and not just a listing of photos from some gallery. I would love a theme that has the same sort of functionality, but really don't feel like hassling with it. I guess now, all of the upper level galleries are called Folders, so are there themes that show folders & not images on the front?

Thanks everyone. I'm at a university and our window for downtime is very small since it's almost the beginning of the semester.

If you're still in preview mode, you can go back to Legacy by scrolling up the page a bit. You'll see the buttons.

You can also preview any of the Themes prior to selecting one. Depending on your account level, you can customize the theme as well. To have a look see, click on Customize then select "Choose new site design" from the menu. You'll see a list of themes as you scroll the page. You can preview the theme using your site by clicking on the theme.

    Does that help?

    J -

The themes can have what you want on them - galleries, pages, folders, etc. However, if you are going to put all of your galleries on the main page you should there seems to be a limit to the number of galleries you can show - I believe it is 48. Good luck!!!

Thanks, that was helpful. I see now that I'm able to drag and drop content areas to the front, I just need to find a nice simple theme. As much as I can't wait to play with the customizer for my personal site, at work, they need EASY.
