Legacy embedded slideshows from 'Show Off''

I have a website that has hundreds of embedded photos and slideshows that are a big part of the website. The slideshows were created from the 'Show Off' section of the legacy site. I've emailed and asked the 'heroes' if the slideshows will still work if I unveil but after 5 replies I can't seem to get a straight answer. They skirt around the issue, tell me to check the faq's and give me wishy washy maybe answers. I am especially concerned about the embedded slideshows since they apparently will no longer be supported. The last answer I got from the heroes was:

"It is possible for your embeds to no longer work, as they are using different keys. If they work currently, then they will work in New SmugMug. We try our very best to ensure that all your previous links will still be direct to your new SmugMug images."

To me, this is a non-answer or maybe I am too dense to understand what he is saying. Could someone from SmugMug please give me a definitive answer.

I really do want to unveil my site and get on with customizing the new SmugMug. However, if I loose all of my old embedded photos and slideshows on my website it will involve many hours of work to rewrite all of my pages and it will make me look like a complete idiot. I do a good enough job on my own in that respect.

My embeds that I created from the "Show Off" feature all work now that I'm in the new, unveiled Smugmug.
Smugmug, PLEASE bring back these Show Off gallery embeds!!! I want to continue using this feature if I can. I'm no webslinger, flash flinger!

Thanks Jeff, I'm glad to hear that the slideshows do work.

I would still like to have a response from a SmugMug employee. I just received my 6th response to these questions from emailing the heroes and they still don't want to commit to a real, honest answer.

    Hi,

I will be trying to set up some tests for this today. I will keep you posted.

Hey Jeff, I live in Corte Madera!

I will add the "Add Show Off" Gallery embeds to the Feedback forum, where our product team will be looking though for future releases. Will add this today.

Turns out 7 is the charm, here's what I got as the 7th answer to my simple questions, the 1st actual straight answer.

"Thanks for getting back to us and sorry for the confusion.

The embeddable slideshow will continue to work on your blogs after the full switch to SmugMug new has been made. It is a Flash slideshow that uses our API and we will continue supporting the code for the API. The embedding is done using the album id and key (just like any other links) and so they will continue to be supported."

I hope this is the correct answer. I guess I'll unveil and find out. Wish me luck.

Disclaimer: I have been rather hard on the support heroes in the last week so I need to say that over the last 6+ years, the heroes have been very good to me and helped me out whenever I needed it. The whole SmugMug company has been good to me so I guess I should have a little more patience. Doesn't mean I will, but I should.
