Small White on Dandelion

Here is a small white butterfly (Pieris rapae) on a dandelion flower. The black background helps it to stand out a bit - no flash used, just adjusted levels to get the darker background like it is. Two extension tubes on the 100mm macro lens.

The fall off in light did most of it anyway - just a few tweaks to darken it..

Well, I'm going to be completely at odds with what's been said. I like the angle of the shot - it gives it some drama. And I like the black backdrop, as it makes the subjects stand out more.
