3 ?simple? problems to fix?

I'll readily admit, I don't have near the problems others are talking about since my site is quite simple. But I DO have a few things I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on. Any help would most certainly be appreciated if you can...

www.scottstrancephotography.com is the site and I've "unveiled" so it's live.

1) I can't seem to figure out how to "pin" the header on the Homepage to not have the picture block scroll over it, ie: I want my name on the top left to stay top left and the menu items top right to stay top right in their header area ALL the time and be visible when scrolling the grid. At present, the header items seem to stay put, but if you scroll the picture blocks the pics display over the header text. I've been able to get it right on the Photos link (I think). I've checked the "Pin" checkbox multiple times at the Entire Site and Homepage level.
EDIT TO ADD: FIXED! The Support Staff took a peek and figured out what the issue was and it wasn't a bug. Rather, just a configuration problem for a conflict in background colors.

2) During creation, I think I deleted the 1/x from the bottom of the picture grid showing the number of images in the gallery. Then again, it might not show if there's not more than one page of images to display???? How can I confirm that's still there without loading additional images to get it over two pages deep?
EDIT TO ADD: FIXED! I loaded additional pics to test it. When you have more than one page of images in the SM view for a gallery, it automatically places the 1/x for page of page below the grid.

3) On the About page, another header issue I think.... My name top left and page link options top right stay put as I want, but if you scroll the image up and down, it intrudes into the header space. I'm guessing if I had a landscape image that took up the width it would be like issue #1.
EDIT TO ADD: FIXED! I loaded a landscape image which was not as tall as the screen height and that seems to have locked in the header from movement. Now only if I could get the Homepage to do the same!

4) Still need to load larger versions of a few pics too. That's on my end.
EDIT TO ADD: DONE!

So if anyone can help, I'd certainly appreciate some direction.

Thanks
~scott

Try Customize > CustomizeSite > Layout > Pinning and select "Header".
I just added a Textbox on "EntireSite" and it's pinned when scrolling down...

That's what is so frustrating.... I've done that and it works properly on the Photos and About pages, just not the Frontpage. Hmmmmm.....

    Heya Scott!

So what is happening right now is that your header is transparent. If you give the header a background color to match the background color of your site (in your case, that HEX is #fafafa), that should be what your looking for.

    Head into Customize---Entire Site
Click into Themes and click edit (little wrench icon) next to your custom theme
Click on Background, scroll down to the Site Section Colors.
Under Header, assign it the color #fafafa

That should be it! Let me know if it works.
