Navigation back to gallery view from full size photo in gallery?

Hey all,

After tons of playing around with the new SmugMug site, I am so SO close to going live with the new stuff. However upon testing, I have found once I drill all the way down to where I get a large photo in a gallery I don't find a way to navigate back to the gallery view. There are nav buttons to go to the next or prior photo, but I don't see anyway to enable gallery view. It used to simply be clicking on the photo, but that doesn't seem to do anything. Obviously the back button on the browser works, but not a very kind option for someone that was in 2x mode and navigated through 20 photos.

I did a bit of searching, but I didn't come across this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :thumb

There should be an X in the upper right corner when you are in lightbox view. If you click the X you will be returned to gallery view.

The only thing in the top right corner is the green band and the Exit to exit out of my Preview of my new site in progress. Are you saying that if I migrate, it will be there?

No, not that high up. The X is right next to the full-sized photo.

Maybe I misunderstood where you are. I assumed you meant that you clicked on a photo to see it in lightbox and that you had been either using the arrow keys or clicking the arrow on the image to get to the next image. There is also an X next to the photo. Are you on a page like the screen shot below or are you trying to get back to the gallery page from somewhere else?

If your mouse isn't over the page the navigation arrows and the close button disappear. They reappear as soon as you move the mouse.

I do believe that once the green bar is gone and you are out of the preview mode, you'll see the big X in the corner. That said, I have to say that I'm missing the ability to simply click on the image to go back to the gallery. Anyone know why that shortcut is gone now?

Beats me. I can't click to get back either.

I hope the X appears once I migrate, but I sure wish that someone from SM could confirm that first.

Update!! - I did find that if you hit Esc, you will return to gallery view!! Not that anything says that or at all intuitive, but thought I would share the discovery.

Another Update! - Yes!! You do gain the X after the unveil!! Thanks so much!!

Yeah, that was worrying me too. But once you migrate, the X appears then.

You're site looks great -- good job! Also, good to know about the Esc key. That's a good shortcut.
