smugmug defaul galery : 3 columns and original ratio for thumbs

hallo,
how can we change 3 columns instead of four columns in smugmug type of galery like :

currently i have :
http://labrophotography.smugmug.com/Events/Cindy-aux-Guillemins

in case i want to see thumbs at original ratio (portrait square, landscape), what must i change ?
not sure it will be beautiful but sometimes faces of people are cut by the cropping.
i suggested to smugmug support to make like slideshowpro director : a focus point for each image in organize we can put where we want so the cropping is always round it

Looks like you figured out how to change the aspect ratio for your thumbnails. As for the columns, I think it chooses the number of columns based on the space available. Since you have the left side bar, there isn't enough room for more columns of thumbnails. (I tested this by resizing my browser window much wider, and I saw 4 columns). I know you can change the cropping of the thumbnail, I think in the edit photo menu. But, that might be time consuming for every single photo. It would definitely be a lot faster to be able to do that right in the organizer. Would be a good feature request!

but in my case it is different : i always have small thumbnails on left with 4 columns and i'd like to have bigger thumbnails by using 3 columns. i could also want only two columns and why not one column vertical filmstrip

I'm not sure if it's possible to make those types of changes. I know some people have asked for more flexibility in the design of galleries (thumbnails, etc.). it is strange.
trying to have 5 columns instead of 4 could be really a problem and lead to very small thumbs but reducing 4 columns to three gives more room you can divide by three instead of dividing by four !!!???
