The HTML only version is nearly useless. You could add an account entry field for the Identifier (much like you already do for Google Analytics) and manage the javascript behind the scenes.

    I would love that. clap.gif

My Statcounter account is now useless and I pay extra space.

Are you saying that, as things stand, my StatCounter analysis will cease as soon as I unveil? eek7.gif

Well... not cease, but you won't get as much detail from the html version. No keyword analysis, where they came from among other things. Not sure it goes down to the pic level either, but I haven't checked all that yet.

    I installed Basic xhtml.

I can see where they came from, the navigation path although it is limited to pages, not direct pics.

I can no longer see, keyword path, recent keyword activity.

It doesn't, only to the gallery level.

Comment: Smugmug's stat page is useful too, but it's sooooo painfully slow I don't bother with it. Regardless, it's not as good as statcounter.

I too use Statcounter as a marketing tool. I just moved 900 miles from where I used to live. After shutting down for a little over a year, I have recently reopened for business. Using Statcounter has helped me tailor my ad campaigns in my local market. I need to see full functionality.

I'm guessing this will start working after we unveil? Otherwise what happens if we insert our numbers
and visitors are still using the legacy site?

Correct Allen, Your JS should still work as normal on Legacy, but when you unveil, you need to have the identifier in the Account Settings.

OK I've got the code in my unveiled mode also and all hits (both legacy AND unveiled) are being logged in Statcounter - the way I can tell is via the time stamp.

Seems to be as fully functional in new Smug as it is in legacy... thumb.gif

I correctly installed my Project ID & Security Code. When I hit Check Install button it says it can't find the code on my homepage. Neither Lutzr2.Smugmug, or my custom domain name work. Out of curiosity I plugged in the ID & Code for my Blogger site. It found it working on both my photo homepage, and blogger.

I have a link to blogger in my menu header. It links directly to a specific post which contains my map & calendar. Could this be the cause of the bug? Should I just combine the two projects into one? What will happen if I do that, having the same project counter on two websites?

Eh... in testing things out, now using the ID/Security Code for any of my projects will not work. I regenerated a new security code, but still no love. I'll wait until morning to mess with this...

OK, it's working. I can see someone right now cruising my Miss Maryland gallery, and see their path. The odd thing is, when I hit the check install button on the site it says no code found. So, I guess you can't rely on that code check from Statcounter! Just a heads up.
