I have set a gallery to have watermarks on photos, but it appears they aren't working or are very behind (like 48hrs behind).

I have this problem as well. I'd like to roll out a new watermark to go along with my new site reveal and I assumed this would just continue to work as it always had? Even my current watermark doesn't appear on newly uploaded images at the moment?

Here's more info in line with the bug-reporting request:

    1. my website is www.julianbutler.com
    2. I've set a new gallery I created and uploaded images to AFTER the publish of my site redesign to use an existing watermark. Here: http://www.julianbutler.com/Children/Jamies-8th-Birthday/ none of the images are displaying my selected watermark. This gallery was added on 4th August 2013.
    3. I used the site organiser 'settings' button for that gallery under the Security and Privacy side tab. Watermarking is set to 'on' and the currently selected watermark name is visible in the 'Custom Watermark' area [although this box is too narrow to read the whole name?].
    4. I uploaded the images from my iMac running OSX 10.8.4, using the smugmug lightroom uploader plugin version 2.0.1.13

    Hi Julian,

Can you verify that you uploaded these images AFTER you made the changes in the Gallery Settings? The options in the gallery settings are for default behavior from then on out, but if there is already photos in the gallery, they need to be watermarked using the watermark tool.

Alright. I *think* I actually selected the watermark once the images were uploaded. I assumed that the new settings dialog would apply whichever watermark I switched to, like the settings dialog in the old site design did. It used to report 're-applying watermarks' or something like that if you changed watermark selection and now no-longer seems to trigger that behaviour.

I'd never used the manual watermarking tool before because the old gallery-settings UI design triggered the re-application automatically etc. I've just used the manual watermarking tool to deal with the new gallery and that's worked, and then I've uploaded another image to that gallery and it has the correct watermark on it like you suggest it should.

I think that's my mystery solved. But it's a change in the UI behaviour which will probably catch others out? Anyways, progress!

    thanks for the help!

Reading this thread, I did not see the navigation for the new smugmug for the correct settings. I'm not getting my custom watermark to show up on new gallery (posted after going public w/ new site) either. I navigated to Organize Site, select the new gallery (w/out the watermark), chose settings at the top, go to Security & Privacy, watermarking is ON and custom watermark is selected.

I did this about 10 hours ago and the custom watermark does not show up...

So I am retracting the report of the results above because, after 2 days, the watermark showed up... I guess the new smugmug is getting hammered pretty hard. Not a big surprise if everyone is getting the same fantastic websites that I was able to do!

    Keep up the good work!

Watermarks which have always been fine are now not working - not in Old or New Smug.

    I've tried:

    1. Adding watermarks both via Settings change and then that failing, tried the watermark tool - No effect at all.
    2. Adding to newly uploaded file.
    3. Adding to existing file.
    4. Removing watermarks
    5. Changing watermarks
    6. Re-Uploading graphic file images, then trying all the above again.

None of the above have had any effect at all.
