Linking to unlisted pages

When trying to link directly to an unlisted page, only owners signed in can see the link. It is not visible for visitors.
Now if you direct the link to the custom url it does work, but this is adding an extra step that shouldn't be necessary.
If you look at my about, links, or contact page, all have to be directed by url instead of being able to point directly to page.
