Yes, I did the same. I met all the specifications and nothing.
So I wrote back and they did it for me.

    This is the reply:

    Hi Juan,

We are having problems where users favicon settings are not applied.
I set it for you. http://screencast.com/t/2Ysr1uXeN
Please refresh your page and if you don't see it please try clearing your browser cache, then close your browser and restart it for the changes to take effect.

    Thanks,

I got a similar reply; looks like it's a bug and you'll have to write SM Help in the meantime to have them set your favicon for you.

It doesn't seem to work in FF. The easiest fix would be for SM to allow us to upload .ico files. All browsers will recognize/accept it. That being said, prior to the migration to the new SM, I had zero issues with my favicon as a .png file, it also worked everywhere. There is a glitch that will hopefully be fixed soon

I have not yet unveiled my site but the settings is not saving my selection of my 16x16 png file for the favicon.

It is a known issue. If you mail support and give them a link to your image they will set it for you. (See previous posts in this thread) The sorcerers must be working on a fix because this doesn't seem a great use of support time. They get points for doing it for us!

Having the same issue. Emailed smugmug, below was their reply:

The Favicon feature is bugged at the moment. We are hoping it will be fixed this weekend. Would you mind emailing us next Monday or Tuesday for an update? I hope it will be fixed by then.

It might be already fixed for some? After reading this latest news, I just tried again to set my favicon with success! clap.gif:D

*EDIT* - It shows in Chrome and Firefox but not in Explorer or Opera so... I will continue to experiment.

I've contacted support twice with no resolution. I'm using the same file I used before the switch and it doesn't save.

It sounds like an easy fix so I'm curious as to why it's taking SM so long to resolve it

It seems to work on Chrome, but no luck on IE at all.

I don't understand why they won't allow us to upload an .ico file.

This is the simplest solution and ensures cross-browser compatibility! headscratch.gif

The Favicon has never worked on IE just Chrome and FF

I just tried this and Im on a mac and it works in Chrome, FireFox and Safari. I first tried uploading a .ico and smugmug was like no no no I then tried a .png file which worked just fine.
