Homepage - Multiple Photo Collage - Need to Manually Sort Images

I am using the Multiple Photos/Collage for my Homepage while in the sandbox. I want each image click to take the user to the respective gallery for that image. For whatever reason, there is no way to manually sort the images on the Homepage, even though there is so much emphasis put on the new design and the Site Organizer being able to do that for other folders, galleries, etc. They are simply sorting in the order that I selected the images and I prefer them to be much more random in nature.

I DO NOT want to collect and pull images from a single gallery and set the sorting in that gallery. That defeats the purpose of having the user click and be taken to different galleries. Is there any way this can be done or is this going to have to be added to the SM feature requests?

This may be the same as or similar to the thread I've placed in the feature request forum here. Although my request isn't for a random order; it's for the ability to change the order.

The images show in the order in which they are selected. The problem is that once they are set you have no way of sorting them short of rebuilding the page element.

Yes, it's definitely very similar. Mine relates to the images (not galleries) displayed on my homepage which, when clicked on, take you to that gallery. Hopefully some type of sorting for that will be put into place.

I have been struggling with this myself. I find it completely puzzling that I can go into Organize and change the order but the home page does not respect that.

I think it's all related to the "Select From" option of choosing images/galleries/etc. There are no sorting options. Make sure you guys have your container's Sort By on the Display tab set to Organizer Position... I know you probably do but it's not exactly obvious that you can sort things one way in the Organizer and then another way in any content block that displays them...

I 100% agree. There is a disconnect between the organization capabilities from the owners perspective and what the viewer actually sees.

The viewer sees a wall of photos representing galleries or folders, in most of the templates but not the overall hierarchical organization of the site as the owner set it up.

And there seems to be no way to add that.

As a new user, very frustrating. Flickr is much easier.
