Birdies started showing up today!!! Haven't been able to start smoozing up to them like you have (great idea actually) so this is from a bit far and really cropped..But I'm so happy:clap

Hardly:D For the last 20 years the neighbors have put out about 7 feeders every winter. Birds all over the place. This year no feeders no birds so decided to put one up and see what happened.

i should have figured that my advice would turn out to be " for the birds"....
a nice nuthatch you got there, let them get used to you, they're actually quite friendly....
listen for his sound, its quite familar and soon you will recognize it and compare it to chickadees , cardinals, bluejays and titmice....
before you know it you'll be a bird woman,
