Auto expanding thumbnails on galleries? LIke search results

OK, so when you search for text, the results bring up a cool thumbnail view which auto expands the photo when you mouse over it.
Any other use of thumbnails doesn't seem to have this though - clicking on a keyword, setting thumbnails as the gallery style, etc.
Any way I can have it on other pages?

It can't really be done like the SmugMug example without using JavaScript. For example, you can't really move the info bar to fill the bottom of the photo correctly with the current markup, and I couldn't figure out a nice way of making the popped-up photo fade in or show after a short delay only using CSS. This pretty much needs to be a Feature Request.
