Customize Gallery Layout?

I'm curious if there is any way to customize the layouts, specifically in the "Gallery Content" section?
For example, I have my "All Galleries" set to the SmugMug format (thumbnails on the left, main image on the right, caption/comments below). I want to change the following features of it:
I suppose I'm going to have to hack some css for this instead of being able to use the "advanced customizer"?
For example, I have my "All Galleries" set to the SmugMug format (thumbnails on the left, main image on the right, caption/comments below). I want to change the following features of it:
- Remove the left/right arrow buttons
- Change the width of the caption section so my text doesn't look so squished
- Add the "Search" box next to the "Add to cart" and slideshow buttons. I put the Search in my "Breadbox" for now but I'd really like it to not be above "Add to cart"
- Make it so that the thumbnails auto-scroll instead of paginating, just like the thumbnail view has options for.
