Deleting image returns to gallery view

I am viewing my galleries in collage view. When I am looking at an image (click on an image) I assume that is akin to what we knew as Lightbox view. If I delete an image in that view, the program returns to the gallery or collage view. I would rather it bring me to next image in Lightbox view.
