Key Feature Missing?

Or am I missing something?

The Organize Site feature is pretty awesome but there might be a hitch. Here's what I'm trying to do:

I have created this website for editors and publishers and I want them to find what they are looking for quickly and easily. The new layouts are perfect for this. It seems to me though that the best way to organize the site is to:

a) Create an Unlisted "image repository" folder, I called it "Image Cabinet", with a small number of galleries containing lots and lots of images each - hundreds.

b) Using Smart galleries and keywords I then organized the visible site so as to group images in different categories. For example, An image cabinet gallery is called "Landscapes". Of those hundreds of images there will be some that are key worded with "Sunsets".

c) I then set up a Smart gallery called "Sunsets" that displays only those images with the Sunset keyword. Great stuff! The cool part is that I can display another smart gallery called "Travel" that would include some of the Sunset images in it, if so keyworded with "Travel" as well as "Sunsets". This is the key, and so far so good. It works perfectly.

The big problem I see is that the Image cabinet "Landscapes" gallery contains hundreds of Real (not virtual) images, and say that later on I want to cull, modify or move some of the images with the keyword "Travel". I can't select the actual images by keyword. The only selection for that gallery is Select All. I can't subset the Real images and then move them to another gallery for example. I can only see going through the hundreds of images by look (can't see the keywords) and select them individually.

What am I missing? Is there a work around? I can download all the images, put them in Lightroom and segregate them, but that's a royal pain! Easy solution would be to have a "Move real images to new gallery" option in the Smart Gallery Settings page but what do I know :dunno

Best,

Jose
