Watermarks Will Not Change Correctly

I've decided to standardize where my watermark would be placed, in the lower right corner. I also decided to allow larger sizes than X2-Large to be viewed.

I've noticed that the watermarks are all still in the same location they were previously, even though the gallery settings use the lower right corner graphic.

Here's how a gallery looks now, with the watermarks appearing where they had originally, even though I've changed it.



The X2-Large, which was the previous largest size I allowed viewed.



And here's the X3-Large, with the watermark where I currently specified.



Me thinks there's a bug...

I just noticed that if I view Original size, no watermark appears at all.

Heya Darten,

The Gallery settings for Watermarking and which watermark (location) are for the gallery default, which means that is what will be applied automatically when you upload new photos. If the photos already have watermarks on them, you need to change that in the actual watermark tool.

And yes, Watermarks never appeared on the original sizes of the images, only the limited display size.

I can't seem to find the new watermark tool you mention here. I tried looking it up in the help section, but all I find is the old site information.

Found this from you on an earlier post. I'll try it.

In your Organizer, navigate to the gallery you wish to remove the watermarks from. Select all the photos, and then click on the "wrench" icon. You will see Watermarks in there. You need to then remove them with the watermark tool, just like in Legacy. The Watermark "On" option in the Gallery Settings is only for auto watermark on newly uploaded photos.

Question about Gallery Watermarking. When setting up a gallery I click yes to watermarking and which preset I want to automatically be applied. I've two different sized watermarks. One for portrait and one horizontal. In the past I'd apply the same watermark to all uploaded images. Then I'd go into the add/remove watermark page and switch the watermarks that needed it to the proper orientation.

That doesn't seem to work anymore. No matter how many times I try and switch the watermarks they remain the watermark I used while setting up the gallery. It didn't always work like this. Is this a new "feature"?

What I have found is this; on the old site if you changed the watermark location a new thumbnail would render. Now you have to actually TELL the gallery to render new thumbnails. In the organizer, opon the gallery. Hit the "wench" tool, select the thumbnail tool...

I've standardized having all my watermarks in the same corner. I made new thumbs for ALL my images. I still have a few where the position of the watermark on the thumbs won't change. I figure it's some obscure bug, but haven't worried about it. When things calm down if it's still happening then I'll make a post about it.
