Custom Banners in Folders and Galleries Within?

Hi Gang... still fumbling through the re-working of 6+ years of getting my site the way I wanted it... Whiskey seems to be helping... BUT - How do I assign a custom logo (i.e. "Dave and Diane's Wedding") to a Folder full of their galleries (Preparation, Ceremony, Celebration) and have that logo appear in all those galleries. I'd like to do this without having to "Custom Gallery" the 400 galleries I have in place already... Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Ditto this request. I would also like to uniformly apply the same custom banner to multiple galleries residing within a specific folder. Thinking there must be a way but can't figure it out. Reaching for the whiskey.

    I too have the same need. I have hundreds of subcategories each with a different banner for all underlying galleries. SM IS NOT MUCH HELP... I 'm quite surprised at the lack of documentation for the pros that customize. I feel abandoned!

    I've asked this in a few threads and no one has responded with a solution.

    One of my questions related to the banner/logo.
    How do we apply a different banner/logo to a folder and have to flow down?

    This was very common on the legacy site.

    If they would just release the documentation I could take it from there...

    Multiple Logos starting in folder
    Yeah, this does not work for me with the folder: http://mattgeorge.me/Rubidoux

    Not that you will be able to see anything because I have it password protected, but you get the idea. If people have to see the wrong logo in a folder and drill down a few steps before they get to a gallery with a custom logo, it will be very unprofessional.

    I made the folder custom, but the logo on the left as well as the navigation I'm stuck with sitewide only without the option to change this into a custom logo for this custom folder and everything underneath it. I'm so disappointed.

    Is there a another option I am missing that would enable custom folders with everything to have a different custom logo than the one sitewide logo only available on the NYX theme? If this is not possible, then this is a must have option that should be coded into smugmug's current new architecture. Thanks for any help.
    Best regards,

    If in there you're asking for a different Logo in your header compared to another part of the site, you can isolate your home page from your design.

    I believe this is in Customize -> Customize Site, then Isolate Homepage or similar.

    I was able to figure it out, however I still don't seem to be able to find a way to have everything drill down content with a unified different header than what the main logo is. Very frustrating. I had to make every folder and gallery customized. What a pain in ***!

    I thought that would be what was required and it sounds horrible! You should submit a Feature Request if there isn't one already.

    Personally, I'd like to be able to add a banner as an attribute of a folder, gallery or page, and assign it to that page (or inherit from a parent page), and have the site automatically put it in the right place if I have added a banner Content Block to my standard page. That way, I wouldn't have to customise anything.

    Ditto for making folder, gallery and page Metadata a content block that can be added to a page as part of the standard design. Or please give us a better field where we can capture, view and customise the text we want shown on a folder, sub-folder or gallery page...

    In my unveiled new customization I have a "clean" Home page which currently has a logo, a slideshow, a menu bar and social icons. Because it is the home page I have a 950 pixel banner that, I think, looks great there but would overwhelm folder, gallery pages and I would like to insert a much smaller and slightly different logo for all other folders, galleries except the home page. I have created jpegs for both of these "logos" that sit in my Do Not Delete files. It appears that in using the template Zoe I have no alternative but to use the logo function on all the pages. When I go to delete it it won't let me do so unless I insert another logo. If I try to insert a photo block where I would place the smaller logo it will only allow me to place it below the menu and I still have the large logo from the Home Page. Is there any suggestion here how I can go about accomplishing this?

    This is in your CSS
    #customLogo {
        background-color: transparent;
        background-image: url("http://www.equidigital.com/photos/1200162686_WdSA8-O.jpg");
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
        background-position: center top;
        cursor: pointer;
    }

    You could probably re-define that logo for everywhere and add CSS to override for just the homepage.

    .sm-page-home #customLogo {....

    I am not sure where and how to modify the CSS. I took the "paragraph" of CSS you've sent in this response and modified it as suggested, then added it to CSS for the entire site and saw no change when checking preview. Deleted it and then moved it to Folders, saw no change, deleted it, then recopied it and still no change; I have left it there to show you what I copied. Did I copy the wrong thing, add too much, put it in the wrong place? I have added CSS from other posts such as removing folder icons (I really want all folder icons to go away) but I have seen no change there either? Am I doing something wrong here in a global fashion?
