Strangely enough I was wondering today how many years a decent lens should last. I reckoned 15 at least, but you can always get them repaired, I guess.

It's a hover fly. Decent shot for a 20 year old lens.

Tis one never been repaired. Mint condition Vivitar S1 105mm macro with leather case - half the price of new modern 105mm lens. If looked after almost anything with decent build quality will last forever.
