Where do I set this value, I have 47 errors for this from the photos on the front page of the site?

I also am getting an <h1> error for the text under my logo for the entire site, any ideas?

thanks

    The errors are showing up on a SEO test for Bing Webmaster tools, Depending on the severity of the error img tags rank high, how many errors that you have effect your ranking. And thanks for the compliment, it has taken a lot of work.

    Ok, got it. Did old Smugmug assign Alt text to gallery images? I never noticed and now that images load so fast Alt text is kind of meaningless for it's original purpose.

    I looked in my Smugmug style galleries and none of the photos have alt or title tags. The legacy site had these.

    but still plays a role in site accessiblilty. Plus its always good to have more text on the site, even underlying text, as search engines are so text reliant.

    I just checked "Get a Link" under the share button and the photo links do not have the alt
    and title tags but the Embeddable links for Blog does have them..

    Hopefully it can be fixed with some new coding, Glad to hear that they still exist.

    I have always manually added the links to my blog with the alt and title tags and they soon appear on
    Google images but the Smugmug ones never show up there.

    You should originally add the title and description info on your image before uploading to Smugmug. This is not a blog where you are embedding an image and manually adding all the required information.

    I use Lightroom for that and all my photos are uploaded with titles and alt data (well, most of them..).

    100% agree. Mine also never showed up from here in Google images. That's why I left a couple of months ago the first time.

    My images were to find from DeviantArt, 500px and Fineart America at least after two weeks (in Google images) But even after three weeks up again with a SM site now, a simple but selective search for "joerg lingnau smugmug" shows nothing, nada, zero. Except a grabbed image of my old site from 17-07-2012.

    Yepp, even when the "EXIF ImageDescription" or "IPTC Headline" are embedded (which is not in the example image below) they are only shown on images viewed in the Lightbox (regardless which size is chosen):
    <img class="sm-lightbox-image" alt="A monk lighting up candles in a pond during Visakha Bucha night in Chiang Mai, Thailand." src="http://canvas-of-light.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-Fhw69fg/0/S/20120604-CoLP-0112-Edit-Edit-S.jpg&quot; style="height: 267px; width: 400px; position: absolute;" id="yui_3_8_0_1_1375961442874_5162">
    But not in gallery view:
    <img id="sm-tile-image-yui_3_8_0_1_1375960885008_5730" class="sm-image" alt="" data-clientid="sm-galleryimage-model_17" src="http://canvas-of-light.smugmug.com/Portfolio/i-Fhw69fg/0/S/20120604-CoLP-0112-Edit-Edit-S.jpg"&gt;
