I looked in my Smugmug style galleries and none of the photos have alt or title tags. The legacy site had
these. This is very important for search engines.

Agree. Only when viewed in Lightbox they have the "alt tag" filled, which is pretty useless.

    Looking into this Allen.
Please consider also this thread, especially that/why images NEVER showed up in Google images. This has IMHO not only to do with a missing "alt tag":

Any news on this? Images still have no alt / title when RCPed in galllery view. Which IMHO is different from old design.

    Great! Thanks Michael

...and the hover over the thumbs is formatted like the caption.clap.gif
Not like legacy in one long line.

Yep, thanks Michael, seeing the tags nice and clear here in all galleries, lightboxes and slideshows thumb.gif

Just a couple of minor things:

1: Is there a reason why they don't show for Organizer thumbnails?
2: Is there a way turn them off for images in certain specific places? I'm looking at my homepage and folders, and wondering if they're really needed for images that are homepage/folder "nav" pics rather than gallery "display" pics.
    Yippee ki-yay, footer-muckers!

How do I turn off Alt Tags
Is there a way to turn off the display of Alt tags, they are distracting and I already have the same information show up in the Title/Caption bar on the bottom of my photos when I hover over the photo. There is no need to display it again with an Alt tag.

I guess you referring to the little boxes called tooltip. This is a browser thingy. No Title/Caption = no tooltips ;)
In Firefox it is possible to disable them.

    ps
Just to make it clear, also for others: we are not talking about any display stuff.
Alt/title tags are HTML elements, not visible except when looking at the source code of a page, or when browsers are showing them as tooltips.

Since this has been fixed and says so in the top title, should it be removed from the sticky Active Bug List? How about replacing it with the Macintosh Slideshow Flicker bug:D

It's fixed, yes, but more than half of my images require me to add the Title back in.
    Thank you,
