Automatically open a 'single' gallery inside a folder

Hi,

The feature request is for a single gallery inside a folder. When this occurs open it up automatically. This experience is much more intuitive and seamless to the user - one click on the folder to enter the single gallery vs. two.

There was a javascript add on from Jfriend used in the Legacy Smugmug. His code or something similar could be pretty easily implemented in the new SM as a default. You can see it here: Its much more user friendly and intuitive.

This is definitely needed - especially as I still can't sort single galleries in with folders.

+1. This is my beef. While I figured out how to get single galleries to appear with multiple galleries from another folder and while it looks better than seeing galleries in one location on a page and folders below, once all together, I would like to be able to do a manual sort. Right now, it is a no can do.

+1 Yes - Why do you think someone created javascript to do this. Can't believe how many very functional javascripts that many people used were not thought to be added to the new system. Brings me back to WHO were the beta-testers - people who did not use customizations?

Don't you know? Us subscribers are the beta-testers, and a lot of us are doing it after leaving the relative security of our pre-unveil sandboxes.

If implemented, please make this an option that can be turned on or off. It's a good idea in many situations -- maybe most -- but I can image circumstances where I'd prefer the current two step process. For example, the display of the one-gallery intermediate folder may be customized with some extra text. It may represent a temporary situation where the one-gallery folder implicitly suggests more will be coming. On things like this, one size does not fit all.

What's the status of this?
It is a glaring flaw to have to click through two layers to get to the pictures!
