This steeple of my church can be seen for miles out to sea. It has been there since the mid 1800s to guide ships into the harbor of Charleston, SC.

Hi, Tim, you are a mindreader. Except I didn't enter it yet. I thought of FM when I took the photo, though, I had it in mind.

Now I love the photo for its own sake. I have loved that island church since 1984.

Being as last night was the service with music for The
Feast of the Immaculate Conception (yup, they call it all that), I took my camera. That statue was such an obvious thing. But it was like shooting the moon. Settings? Well, I put it on manual and just kept messing around.

I love it, I have been out in the harbor is a sailboat years ago. You can see that for miles. We sing a "Mary" song often, but on Mary days, we sing about the sea, the ocean star and, "pray for the wanderer, pray for me"...... I just love it. It is home.

I will enter it today. Thanks for the suggestion, smile.

Nice, Ginger, very. Now whatever you do, DON'T under any circumstances enter in the FM MA where my Nutcracker shot will have to compete with it.

Ah, go ahead. It's a great entry, much more on target than mine.

And, there will be the added benefit that you'll have to remove that frame!
    If not now, when?

Yeah, I have the frameless entry ready to go! All 640 pixels. On this shot I am partial to having a frame. So it should be with great joy that others will see the shot w/o its clothes so to speak.

It is not an exactly politically correct photo, but it has been there for the taking in my life since 1984. And as I said, it is important to me.

Now the firestation, a new one since the big hurricane of '89, it is soooo politically correct. No they did not decide NOT to celebrate, they are celebrating any and all occasions in the month of December anywhere in the world, it looks like. With light bulbs, scenes, blow ups, whatever, in great color over a definite wide angle space!

Somehow I need someplace for my eye to settle, then I can appreciate them all.

Oh, on this shot, I did photoshop to a degree. I even used LAB, all the way, lightness, A and B, in curves none the less.

    And a few other things.

Uh, hi, Steven. It is another forum, another internet photo site.

I think the personalities of different groups are different. I dabble a bit in FM, but dGrin is my main group.

This one is cool I really like the shadow. Do you have any others of this church? It looks like it may have some interesting architecture to it.
