Custom Searches

I posted this as a reply under a different "search" question - but it is probably too different from the original question so I have made my own thread. Pardon the duplication.

I DEFINITELY made a mistake allowing my site to upgrade to "NEW" so soon. A small part of my business is covering running events and I had a custom search engine build into my legacy site. Are there any resources for custom search options in the New Smug?

For an example of what I am talking about - my old business still has the legacy Smug site which I intended to retire at the end of 2013 (I currently have 2 smugmug sites).

This is my old site with my custom search fields http://christopherwood.smugmug.com/Events

This is my new site that has been "upgraded" to new smug http://sdphotostudio.smugmug.com/Eve...-Day/i-2fJfGTG

I have placed a search box on the page - but it is currently searching my entire site. At the very least I would like to be able to keep that one simple search box but have it only search the gallery in which it is embedded.

I'm searching for a solution to this problem as well! This is the only reason I haven't upgraded my site to new SmugMug. A search box absolutely needs to have the option to search only the gallery or category that it's located in, or it ruins the flow of my site, and returns results from all of my events. Please share if you have a solution.

Hi, interested in this too, subscribing in this Thread.
I find it that an extremely important feature missing here.
