Centering text top to bottom....

I'd like to center the text "top to bottom" for the Menu containers and also for text containers.

Got some slick code to do this?

As a work around, I increased the top margin to get the menu and text where I want. Strange oddity, though. The spacing is exactly what I want on every page (folders and galleries) but the home page. And yes, the menu and text, with the margin increases are set at the site level.

Any ideas why the Home page reverts to about 12 px for the top margin instead of whatever I set (can't remember if it was 30 or 40 px...) ????
