    Hi Dave,

The original size will not fit into a browser window most of the time. The video was a little difficult to understand what you were trying to say, but I think that is what you are meaning.

Please let me know if you have a little more clarification.

    Thanks!

    Hi Dave

It seems OK to me. http://davev.smugmug.com/WildLife/2013/i-PmRVKd4/A

If I change the view size to original it does chop the image as you say. But your image is 3600 pixels (click the info button) on the long side and my monitor is 1080 pixels high. So that is correct. Using the fill option it fills the screen perfectly.

I realize that the image that I used in the vid is way larger than screen size, but I used to be able to scroll around in the old Smug and still see it all, not just the bottom half.

Remember also, not everyone is looking at the same size screen rez. I have mine set for 2560x1440.

If I understand you correctly you can still move around. You have to use the scroll bars at bottom and right of screen. I moved your image around and got this filling my screen

BTW that's pretty amazing detail considering the eagle only fills a small part of the image surface area. What lens?

    You understand perfectly.
When I grab the scroll bars, I can go from side to side, and up and down, but, I lose the top half of my image.

I see you used Firefox. I normally use safari, but I did try chrome, neither would give me the top half of my image at full Rez.

That shot was taken with a Canon 300 2.8 with a Canon 2x tc on it.

And when you use size 'fit' you get the whole shot http://davev.smugmug.com/WildLife/2013/i-PmRVKd4/A

    Fit works fine.

I downloaded Firefox, everything looks ok in it.
Safari and Chrome, the top of the image doesn't come through when using Original sizing.

Both my FF and Chrome are showing the same thing on original. Do you have zoom set on your browsers? Try CTRL/0 on both.

    No zoom on the browser.

Another vid showing the difference between the new Smug and Flickr.
I used to be able to view the original before the change, now I can't.
I like to have this work. There are times I want to look a shot more closely.

BTW, I downloaded the shot from my Smug site to upload it to Flickr. No problems with the file.

I'm using Safari 6.0.5 on a 27" iMac with Mountain Lion (10.8.4) installed.
